Brujos
Brujos Brewing officially opened its doors to the public on March 2nd, 2024, located in Portland’s NW industrial neighborhood, better known as Slabtown. Its dark, gothic and cathedral-esque inspired taproom is unlike any other in town. Akin to the “Haunted Mansion of craft breweries” as owner and head brewer Sam Zermeño likes to put it. No televisions here but rest assured there is plenty to look at in the architecture, wraith like sculptures and decor throughout.
Brujos is known for their signature opaque and hop forward ales, as well as their west coast style IPAs, such as their seasonal core beer, “Sixes.” Their secondary focus is on their barrel aged stout program and the occasional classically brewed lager. Brujos welcomes all to their beloved “Scorched Church” as they call it, however, they are one of Portland’s only 21+ tasting rooms. Their semi covered patio is pet friendly so long as they are well behaved and on a leash.
Brujos has partnered with San Diego chef Colin Murray to run a Baja- and Mediterranean-style kitchen, Saint LoveJoy’s, out of the pub.
