Deschutes Brewery Tasting Room
In 1988, Gary Fish established a small brewpub in downtown Bend, Oregon and named it after the Deschutes River. He wanted to build a gathering place for the community, a spot where friends, family, and neighbors would come together over a house-brewed pint of beer. Today, the brewery’s main production is separate from the original pub location and brews more than 225,000 barrels per year. The Deschutes Brewery Tasting Room is located at the production facility, guests can peek through windows to watch R&D brewers in action, grab a pint and snack in the Tasting Room or grab a meal from one of the food trucks parked outside. The lobby is dog friendly and there are also seats outside, and guests can shop for merch and gifts. Tours are offered 7 days a week of the production brewery, or you can check out the brewery’s state of the art R&D brewhouse or the barrel warehouse with a chance to sample beers straight from the barrel! The location of the Tasting Room is within walking distance to river floating, concerts at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater, skating at the ice arena, or shopping at the Old Mill District.
